Hello, my name is Suzi. I am the South West regional IHHT tutor based in South Devon, UK.
I have been incorporating sound healing instruments into my client sessions and courses for over 10 years, including tuning forks, singing bowls, chime pipes, koshi, rainsticks, tingsha, Native American drums, flutes and rattles, African Djembes, Russian Rav drums and my voice – through chanting and threshold singing (gentle singing at the bedsides of the dying).
My passion for sound
therapy and musical instruments has been inspired by many teachers and workshop
facilitators over the years, starting with my Grandfather who played the piano
and sang to me as a child. Since then I have been inspired and feel privileged
to have been taught by many sound teachers, including Tim Wheater and Cherub
Sanson (multiple sound instruments, including tuning forks), Tobias Kaye
(singing bowls), Sika Deer (sound baths), Nigel Shaw, Willow Freeman and Steve
‘Cloud Song’ Highhawk (flutes), Carolyn Hillyer and Chloe Goodchild (singing), Tim
Wheater, Cherub Sanson and Ruth Lerew (gong baths) and Debbi Walker (tuning
forks).
As
well as being a sound practitioner/teacher, I am also a counsellor and life coach
specialising in palliative and bereavement support. Within my primary mental
health and wellbeing practice I offer both life and end-of-life coaching,
infusing EFT, NLP, solution-focused coaching, sound, mindfulness, breathwork,
gentle-touch therapy and energy healing into my client sessions.
In addition to Sound
Healing, I teach Reiki, Mindfulness, Essential Self-Care and Energy Management
Techniques, Holistic End of Life Care skills and Active Listening Skills
workshops. I also offer mentoring and supervision to counsellors and other
professionals working within caring, therapeutic or holistic roles.
My
passion is to facilitate and personal empowerment through all stages of life
(particularly end-of-life and bereavement) and I offer therapy and mentoring
sessions, workshops, courses and retreats worldwide – via the telephone, online
or face-to-face.
Although
based in South Devon, I am happy to travel to any location and am already
planning on teaching courses in Wales, the Midlands, Cyprus, Spain and even
Australia over the next couple of years.
I
will be running regular IHHT Tuning for Self-Care, Tuning Fork Sound
Practitioner Courses and Palliative Sound Practitioner Courses throughout the
year, and also run a range of other courses and workshops throughout the year –
details of which can be found on my two other websites www.suzigarrod.com or www.next-steps.org.

of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), a Thrivecraft

Sound Healing, member of the CMA and member of IPHM. I hold professional indemnity insurance for
both my own mental health and wellbeing practice and through IHHT, am DBS
